“Orangesicle Cookies”
These cookies were not on my original list of twelve days of cookies, but when shopping for some extra baking supplies, I spotted something new from Pillsbury.
Who remembers the orange creamsicle when growing up? They were one of my favorites. I’m sure you loved them as well! So when I saw the new Pillsbury premium cookie mixes, Orangesicle and Key Lime I thought why not give them a try.
Frosted cookies with sprinkles, they are easy to make and fun to decorate with all of the different choices of sprinkles. For these cookies, I chose cream cheese frosting and multi-colored sprinkles, they will look great beside the swirly tree cookies! In less than an hour I made 3 dozen yummy cookies!
Ingredients:
- 1 box of Pillsbury Orangesicle Premium Cookie Mix
- (The cookie mix calls for 1 egg and 1 stick of butter softened)
- Cream Cheese Frosting (you can make your own or use Betty Crocker Rich and Creamy Frosting)
- Your favorite sprinkles
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
Make your cookies according to the directions on the box.
Bake 8 – 10 minutes
Allow to cool before frosting and adding sprinkles.
Did You Know?
A good rule of thumb when serving appetizers is 6 to 8 per person if dinner will follow and 12 to 15 per person if it’s an appetizer only gathering.
Gift Giving Idea
Make cookie giving fun. Tuck a variety of wrapped cookies inside a big Christmas stocking! What a great gift for your mailman, neighbor, or child’s teacher.
