Musical Potpourri

May 16, 2014 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The Madison Chorale presents their annual spring concert Friday, May 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. This year’s theme is “Musical Potpourri”. Each year this 20-member chorale ensemble presents a vibrant and lively program of vocal music ranging from pop to traditional to sacred.

For over 30 years the Chorale has been a cultural outreach of Rabbit Run Community Arts Association and is comprised of volunteer vocalists from Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties. The Chorale, under the direction of Betty Jean Green, performs throughout the year at public and private functions.

The Chorale extends an invitation each year to an outstanding student(s) studying at Rabbit Run to also perform at the concert. This year’s special guest performer is Nick Karayianopoulas, a voice and piano student at Rabbit Run and a senior at Madison High School. Also performing is the saxophone quartet Quattro Sax, playing a musical tribute to the folk singer Pete Seeger.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6345 Chapel Rd., Madison. Tickets are available at the door and are $6/adult and $5/senior and children under 12 are admitted free of charge. Refreshments will be served following the concert. For more information call RRCAA at 428-5913.

RRCAA is a comprehensive fine arts association offering instruction in all the major disciplines of the fine and performing arts and receives partial funding from the Ohio Arts Council.
