Update on Chardon Schools Energy Conservation Program

LogoEnergyStar

Good news about our Chardon Schools Energy Conservation Program.

Not only have we made a notable impact on the environment, but we’ve also lowered our utility company bills by 29% – allowing more of our dollars to go directly towards educating our students.

These savings are equal to: 6,760 metric tons of CO2 emissions being prevented, 1,410 automobiles being removed from the highways annually or the amount of CO2 sequestered by 173,200 tree seedlings planted and grown for 10 years.

In 2014 the school district became a member of the EPA’s Certification Nation and our conservation efforts continue to earn us the Energy Star Labels.
