Start the summer out right with a family-friendly campout adventure at Big Creek Park! The Family Fun Campout will take place Saturday to Sunday, June 6 and 7, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 a.m. at Big Creek Park, Campgrounds, 9160 Robinson Road, Chardon Twp.
A campfire will set your stage for a fun night under the stars, complete with a fire-cooked evening snack, campfire stories, a night hike and stargazing. Then, after a good night’s sleep in the fresh air, wake the next morning to a continental breakfast!
Registration is required for this program at geaugaparkdistrict.org or 440-286-9516, upon which a fee of $5 for in-county residents or $10 out-of-county residents will be charged. Arrive at 6:30 p.m. to pitch your tent (no hook-ups) in time to gather for the 7:30 p.m. program. Breakfast is served the next morning 7:30 to 9 a.m.
