Kindergarten students at Jordak Elementary School transform into “Word Wizards” every week to help enhance their vocabulary skills.
Each week, teachers divide the students up into separate groups and the students visit different teachers to do fun activities that help strengthen their use of words.
“We’ve found this to be a very effective method of helping students develop their vocabulary skills,” says Jordak Principal Kelly Bearer. “The activity gives students a nice break and they really enjoy traveling from room to room, too!”
