Maple Town Tune Traders Perform in Musical Showcase

For eight years, the Maple Town Tune Traders have shared a variety of music the fourth Thursday evening of each month. This venue has evolved into a fine showcase of music: blues, country, classical, vintage pop, Celtic, traditional and modern folk music, and even a bit of rock.

This being the case, Geauga Park District is now advertising for an audience that enjoys a relaxing evening of well rendered music! Admission is free, the setting is informal, the chairs are comfortable, snacks (contributions welcome) are delicious, and humor abounds.

As for musicians, 15-minute “open mic” performance spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis each fourth Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Performing here offers an ideal opportunity to hone your act with a supportive audience as you work up to more formal performance venues.

Parents, do you have child musicians facing a recital? Maple Town Tune Traders provides a gentle audience, with applause and praise guaranteed from people who celebrate young musicianship.

And to those who know or work with people with disabilities, The West Woods Nature Center is fully accessible – a welcome venue for all to come and enjoy live music.

The West Woods Nature Center is located at 9465 Kinsman Road (Route 87) in Russell Twp. For more information on this unique showcase, contact Tune Traders host Dan Best, a musical Park District naturalist, at dbest@geaugaparkdistrict.org or 440-279-0883.
