The Cardinal Middle School science classes are at it again with their cool classroom experiments!
Seventh and eighth graders in Mrs. Casavecchia’s and Mr. Bronson’s classes tested CO2 cars after spending time in class researching designs, making a template, and creating and painting their cars.
Recently, students raced their cars in the gym and used iPads to gather data for distance and time. Students then used the data to calculate velocity, acceleration, momentum, and the force from their CO2 canister.
Cardinal graduates (and former Mr. Bronson students) Michael Hickox and Carsten Weizer filmed the races using a high speed camera, GoPro, and a USB camera!
