Leadership Geauga County is seeking a dynamic individual that is interested in developing leaders in our community so that they may positively contribute to Geauga’s economic, social, and civic development.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree; Masters or Doctorate preferred. Critical skills required are a robust knowledge of Geauga County, strong fundraising skills and the ability to facilitate and engage groups of both adult and young learners.
This position requires considerable creativity, outside-the-box thinking, and regular problem solving. One key to a successful ‘class year’ is facilitating the class participants to achieve the best innovative class days while maintaining the integral content. The Executive Director creates diverse teams and challenges them to move beyond the first and easy solution, often by modeling creative or problem solving techniques.
The Executive Director interacts with the community at-large, maintains relationships with alumni and members of Board of Trustees. The Executive Director actively seeks community involvement in Leadership Geauga and is also an active representative of Leadership Geauga within the community. It is expected that they have a strong presence at regional Leadership activities and participates at the national level as appropriate.
The Executive Director is accountable to the Board of Trustees for successfully performing the principal responsibilities of the position as outlined in the job description and for any other duties or responsibilities as specifically assigned by the Executive Committee.
