Ravenwood Health is hosting a 5K race and 1 mile walk on Saturday September 10, 2016

In celebration of its 50 year history, Ravenwood Health is hosting a 5K race and 1 mile walk on Saturday

September 10, 2016. Ravenwood is doing several different events to celebrate its anniversary. According to

Char Hartson, race committee member, “Running is such a popular, healthy sport that it makes sense to have

a 5K race for the agency.” The course is fun and it is certainly beautiful, given the route racers and walkers will

take. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the race starting at 9:00 a.m. The chipped time race is being

underwritten by Platinum sponsor, Key Bank, professionally managed by Greater Cleveland XC, a leading race

authority and sponsored by Second Sole, a major retailer of running shoes and athletic apparel in Mentor, Ohio.

Additionally, there will be a variety of activities for children and families: animal balloon-making, face

painting, music and St. Helen’s World Famous Unicyclists.

To register, you can go online at www.ChronoTrak.com. There is a fee for individual runners and walkers and

we are excited to offer a special rate for families who enjoy running together, which is available the day of the race.

There will be terrific goody bags, food, water and unique prizes for all age groups. According to Vicki Clark, CEO of Ravenwood,

“There are races for many physical illnesses and diseases and we know that exercise is good for your physical

health overall. But we are trying to emphasize the benefits to your mental and emotional health as well. So we

hope many people will join us”.
