Congratulations to all four Notre Dame Elementary School First LEGO League Robotics Team on an outstanding first year. At the beginning of the school year, Notre Dame Elementary School formed four First LEGO League teams of 8-10 students from grades 4-8 through the sponsorship of Rockwell Automation and the Pioneer Grant from GE Lighting. The teams have been meeting weekly since September at Notre Dame Cathedral Latin to prepare for the competition at Avon Middle School.
Last Saturday, all four teams tested and applied their robotic skills and two teams placed. “We just went sideways” won the core values segment and the “Notre Dame Hydrobots” was invited to participate in the district competition in Akron! “Our students represented Notre Dame Elementary School beautifully. All four teams exceeded my expectations as first year teams and set the bar high for next year” states Mrs. Halle Davis, Notre Dame Elementary School First Lego League Robotics Moderator.
