Geauga County Public Library (GCPL) is pleased to announce that patrons will have an improved digital calendar to register for programs and classes at all library locations. This update coincides with the cycle of summer programming scheduled to begin May 1, 2019. All events in the summer issue of Lines & Links will be available in the new calendar, scheduled to launch April 15th.
LibCal saves taxpayers money because it is included in the Clevnet suite of services. Yet, it offers expanded functions including email reminders and post-program surveys. Accessing the calendar is easy. From GeaugaLibrary.net, select “Programs & Classes” on the top horizontal navigation bar. Users will be directed to the LibCal calendar where they will find hundreds of events color-coded by audience type. Different views including “calendar,” “list,” and “card” are available. To expedite the search process, users may filter by audience “category” and “location.”
To register for a program, click on the desired offering and follow the prompts. If registration is open, the blue button that says “Begin Registration” will redirect to a page that requires users to enter their names and email addresses. That’s it! The whole process takes about a minute. Once registered, users will receive a confirmation email. Facebook and Twitter icons within the calendar allow users to easily share events with their friends on social media.
In addition to program registration, users will have access to all GCPL Branch hours at a glance. No need to toggle between screens. For users who prefer to register in-person or via phone, these options will remain available.
