Blackbrook Audubon invites everyone to visit Killdeer Plains Wildlife Area at noon, Saturday, February 15. The group hopes to see winter visitors such as Rough-legged Hawks, Northern Harriers, Lapland Longspurs and Northern Shrikes. Around dusk, 6:10 p.m., Short-eared Owls may appear as they begin hunting.
Meet at the McDonald’s at 1650 E. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky, OH 43351 at noon. If people would like to carpool, participants can gather at the front parking lot of Lakeland Community College, Rt. 306, at 9:30 a.m. Attendees should bring binoculars, spotting scopes if they have them and money for dinner at a restaurant on the way home.
