GCPL to host events celebrating Women’s History Month

Geauga County – March 2, 2020 – In March, GCPL will celebrate Women’s History Month with several programs honoring women’s suffrage and women’s rights, often through the experiences of the women who fought to make many of these historic changes possible.

Women in history: Sojourner Truth

Battle for the ballot: Cleveland’s suffragette movement

*At 2 p.m. the group will adjourn to the South Newbury Union Chapel (15829 State Rte 44, Newbury, Ohio 44065), weather permitting, to tour the building. Period attire welcome. (Note: The Chapel is maintained in its authentic 1858 state.  There is no handicap access, electricity, running water, heat, or restroom.)
