Getting Ready for First Holy Communion

Second Grade students are preparing for their First Holy Communion with Sr. Judy Bucco’s help. Sr. Judy made clay chalices and hosts with the second graders in religion. Students are learning about Jesus offering Himself and how at the words of the priest, bread and wine become the Body and the Blood of Christ.

Fourth Graders Investigate!

Fourth graders in Mrs. DiSanto’s class investigated which tools would pick up different types of foods. The tools modeled beak types and students had the opportunity to discern how the different “beak” shape adaptations would be needed to survive in certain environments.

These Third Graders are Smart!

The third grade used Smarties to learn about fractions. They learned what a numerator and denominator represent, and they used the color of the Smarties to write a fraction. Then they ordered their fractions from greatest to least and compared them too. The best part was they got to eat their Smarties when they were all done. Yummy!
