A Holiday Tradition

Choose from four beautiful fresh evergreen arrangements

Decking your halls always makes the holiday season come alive – but wouldn’t it be best if you could make your own decorations? Join Geauga Park District for its popular Holiday Greens Workshop to arrange fresh evergreens into one of four holiday creations.

Holiday Greens Workshop will take place on Saturday, December 1, from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. at the Swine Creek Reservation Lodge. Registration is required or 440-286-9516 at which time participants will be asked to select one of the following projects: wreath, candy cane centerpiece, “double pillar” centerpiece, or gold or silver candlestick-holder centerpiece. Drawings of all four options can be seen on the Bulletin Board.

An $18 fee will be required upon registration and $5 more will be due to the instructor at the program. Various evergreens, pine cones, and ribbons will be provided, but participants may bring their own accents as well – after all, this is their project to keep!

“This is a tradition for many,” said Special Events Coordinator Teresa Runion, “and the projects are always beautiful.”

Participants may also bring pruners and a plastic bag to protect their car seats from water. This wheelchair / stroller accessible program is suitable for ages 12 and up.

Geauga Park District is online, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
