Most of us love dogs — we don’t call them man’s best friend for nothing, after all. Few animals have as long of a history of friendship with humans as the domesticated dog. We care about one another in a way that enriches the lives of both species.

Those of us lucky enough to have dogs enjoy spending as much time as possible with our furry friends — and they make it clear with happy faces and wagging tails that they love it too. If we could, most of us would probably take our dogs with us everywhere we go. For the humans that love them, dogs make everything better and who wouldn’t want to have their pup tag along at work?

That’s how All About Dogs came to be. In 2005 Deanna, the business’s owner and creator adopted a boxer puppy she named Tana. She fell in love with her pup immediately, and like many of us would she wanted to bring Tana to work with her. What makes Deanna and Tana’s story so unique isn’t that they wanted to spend all their time together, but that Deanna felt so strongly about it that she decided to open her own doggy daycare so that she and Tana could share their days. All About Dogs opened because of the love between a dog and her owner, and that love blossomed into an incredible success.

That love still guides the business to this day. Sadly, Tana passed away in August 2018, but she’s still very much the heart of All About Dogs. When you walk into the facility, her warm friendly face greets you and your dog — a reminder that this business exists because of love. A love that the staff eagerly share with any dog that comes into the building.

When Deanna opened All About Dogs in 2005, the business only offered a doggy daycare program and a self-washing station where owners could give their own dog a bath. Doggy daycare had grown in popularity, but at the time many still thought of it as business for large metropolitan areas, or something that wealthy people did. Since then, the industry has blossomed as we’ve come to understand how much our furry friends gain from socialization and mental stimulation. Doggy daycare benefits dogs in any locale, and All About Dogs has perfected it.

About a year after opening, they added a professional grooming service. Then in 2007, they began boarding dogs overnight. Their growth hasn’t slowed since then — in fact, it’s not an exaggeration to say that All About Dogs offers just about anything your dog could want.

About a year later they added professional grooming, and then in 2007 they started boarding dogs overnight. That’s a full suite of services for a pet service business, but All About Dogs had more growing to do. In 2012 they expanded their facility and the services offered. The created separate daycare rooms for large and small dogs, incorporated a larger grooming salon and added a dedicated photography area where you can have professional portraits taken of your dog.

Now All About Dogs offers a range of services for all your dog’s needs and desires, like canine massage. Nothing pampers your dog like a relaxing massage, but it has actual health benefits as well. Some dogs experience anxiety or become highly stressed when boarded for the first time, and an introductory massage can help alleviate that problem. Elderly dogs with achy joints or muscle fatigue will enjoy the improved mobility and reduction in pain, and working dogs will feel ready for action after a visit with All About Dogs’ canine massage therapy.

Over the years the All About Dogs team members have learned a lot from their experiences with the dogs they’ve shared their days with. For example, bored dogs tend to cause more mischief than dogs that get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. That’s one of the reasons behind the Enrichment Training Program they offer. The trainers use games, puzzles, props and a variety of activities to stimulate your dog’s mind and body. The end result? A more confident dog who learns more quickly, and suffers from less stress.

All About Dogs also offers more traditional obedience training with a variety of options to choose from. You can attend group classes, private sessions or family training sessions focusing on helping your dog become a polite member of your family. You can train at the All About Dogs facility or in the privacy of your own home. You can even put training in the hands of the professional trainers who will then teach you how to follow through.

Another add-on loved by busy young professionals as well as less mobile elderly customers, the Dog Taxi service has quickly become popular. Available seven days a week, the Dog Taxi can pick up your dog for doggy daycare, grooming appointments and overnight boarding. They’ll also transport your furry friend to the vet for annual check ups or other diagnostic appointments, as well as deliver any food or treat carried in the All About Dogs store.

Just when you think that All About Dogs couldn’t offer an additional service, you find out that they do! When you visit their website you’ll find that they have a bakery for dog treats and dog cake, that they take boarding dogs for walks in the park, and even host trainer-led group walks to raise money for Rescue Village. You can even have one of their team members come to your house to let you dog out for a potty break if you can’t make it home over your lunch hour.

They’ve come a long way since opening in 2005. With a staff of over 30 people, and services ranging from training and grooming, to canine massage and treat delivery, All About Dogs has something for everyone who loves their dog. Our love for our pets transcends demographics, and men and women of all ages and lifestyles enjoy bringing their dogs for a visit, training session or a bath

Our dogs quickly become members of our family, and everything that All About Dogs offers can make your four-legged family member a happy pup. Just as important, they work tirelessly to help as many dogs as possible find families of their own. They have partnered with and serve as an off-site adoption location for Rescue Village, and dedicate two of their boarding rooms for fostering dogs until a family adopts them.

Just as importantly, All About Dogs wants these adoptions to last forever, so they donate spots in their daycare to help socialize rescue dogs. This helps these dogs learn to interact with other dogs and humans in a friendly, non-threatening manner increasing their adoptability and preventing problems before they happen.

When you adopt a puppy younger than 5 months from Rescue Village, All About Dogs will offer puppy obedience and socialization classes in order to give families the knowledge and skills to help the puppy learn how to interact with all of its new family members and become a success in its new home.

It’s often said that there’s no such thing as a bad dog. Everyone at All About Dogs would no doubt agree! They don’t care about size, age or breed. All dogs are welcome at their facility. Even dogs that can’t safely interact with other dogs — the staff will welcome them warmly, while keeping them safely separated from all other dogs in the facility that day. As long as a dog doesn’t behave dangerously or aggressively toward people, the pooch is welcome at All About Dogs.

All the high quality services provided by the team at All About Dogs plays a huge role in the business’s success, but the most crucial aspect shouldn’t come as a surprise. Everything at All About Dogs revolves around love. Deanna founded the business because she loved Tana, and every member of the team loves dogs. Love is at the heart of the company, and guides every aspect of the business, from daycare to canine massage. All About Dogs truly is all about the dogs and the love that we share with them. That’s why their quality of care is unbeatable, and they strive to set the standard for how pet services should do business.
