Genealogists, history buffs and the public are all invited to a special genealogy program featuring Patrick Henry Jolly who will portray his famous ancestor Patrick Henry, whose words, “Give me liberty or give me death,” sparked the flame of the American Revolution and captured the spirit of independence.

Patrick Henry Jolly is the 5th great-grandson of Patriot Patrick Henry, and he will appear both in character and costume at the Geauga County Genealogical Society’s first meeting of the year on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m. in the Bostwick Room of Chardon Library, 110 E. Park Street, Chardon. The event is FREE and all are invited.

Those who are familiar with Patrick Henry Jolly know that his dedication to history is strong. With a Patriot in the family, it seemed only natural for Patrick to gravitate towards not only learning about this Virginia lawyer-orator, but to portray him as well.

Patrick speaks to many groups, both historical, political and lineage related. He portrays Patrick Henry as often as he can at venues such as Daughters of the American Revolution and Sons of the American Revolution.
