The Chardon High School Family and Consumer Science (FCS) Dept. organized the school’s Annual Powder Puff game which was held at Chardon Memorial Field on Saturday, May 7, 2016. The flag football game between the junior and senior girls has been a tradition at the school for many decades. The seniors won in dramatic fashion, but not without some great plays by the junior athletes. Proceeds from the event (over $1,300) were donated to WomenSafe, which provides emergency shelter and support services for survivors of domestic violence throughout Northeast Ohio. Plans are already in the works for next year’s contest.
