With the holidays fast approaching, finding that one special, unique gift could be as close as your neighborhood craft show or church bazaar. November marks the beginning of many craft shows, holiday open houses for independent consultants, and small business owners. One church got the jump on everyone this past weekend.
The Aquilla Christian Fellowship Church, located at 13925 Stanley Drive in Burton, hosted the Holiday Crafts and Collectables Bazaar Saturday, October 19, from 10 am to 4 pm., giving holiday shoppers like myself a chance to check out what everyone has to offer for this upcoming holiday season.
A friendly Avon Independent Sales representative was the first to greet everyone coming through the door. If you do not have an Avon rep, I would suggest you contact J. Barstow online. I was very surprised at everything Avon now has to offer and I think you will be too.
One special “Thirty-One” Consultant, Judy Nuzum from Huntsburg, Ohio, was on hand – one of my personal favorites of the show. These totes and bags are what every woman wants in her home, work, or at sporting events. With all the colors, designs, and embroidery, each becomes a one of a kind product, with you as the designer. Get ahold of Judy online and start your own creation or hold a show and earn more in free products.
Tastefully Simple Consultant Kimberly Kolat had everything one would need to entertain for the holidays with meal solutions and food ideas to delight every taste bud including the pickiest eaters, all at great pricing! Specials are always going on with Tastefully Simple, so contact Kim at skkolat@windstream.net to find out what the current specials are.
In attendance at the Bazaar was Lois Wheeler with her handmade crafts. You will love her scarves!

Have you heard of Celebrating Home? Wayne Hershberger would love to introduce you to what this company has to offer in home interior décor, and can be reached at waynehershberger@yahoo.com. Or check out his personal site. Holding a home show with Wayne will save you lots of money while you earn free products for yourself or to give to family and friends for Christmas. I love their candles, including soy made and their nightlights which offer something special for each holiday at great prices.

I thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience at this bazaar. Everyone was pleasant to talk with and very informative about what they had to offer and where they were planning on taking their business in months and years ahead.
Lynn Grove of Mantua, Ohio was one such person. Lynn explained that her Mantua Soap Works business offers natural bath and body products, all handmade and packaged by her, was actually started with a loved one in mind. It was her first holiday event with many more planned. I am looking forward to seeing Lynn grow her business and being just one of her many loyal customers. Check out Mantua Soap Works online or email at mantuasoap@gmail.com.
Besides meeting all the vendors, I met some of the sweetest and cutest customers from around Geauga County. My favorite shopper was one very special little guy named “Peanut.” He was shopping with his owner, who was having him fitted with a handmade sweater, and how handsome he looked in it too! Peanut, I hope you get everything on your wish list this year!
I was very impressed with the amount of vendors in the basement of this church, the variety of crafts offered, excellent handmade quality available to purchase, and the independent consultants on hand to offer specialty products – so many favorites. Bakery was available for purchase giving everyone in attendance the chance to take home a little something yummy for Sweetest Day.
With all there was to see and do at this bazaar, I was quickly motivated in doing my own holiday shopping.
