Art Shows at Geauga Lyric Theater Guild

Art shows at GLTG

Homeschool Drawing and Painting and Sculpture Studio were two classes that were offered this spring to children age 5-11 years old at the Geauga Lyric Theater Guild Art Center. After six weeks of art classes, the students were finally able to show off the masterpieces they had created. The students learned how to draw using a grid, how to mix different values of one color, and even how to form an animal out of clay.

The kids were looking forward to the shows with great anticipation for weeks; they made invitations and even had a pre-show “host training” to learn the proper way to welcome their guests. The children loved showing parents, grandparents, and even neighbors what they had made. At the end, everyone was given an award for their wonderful artwork!

Art shows are a great way to instill in children a sense of accomplishment and pride in what they create.
