There is art in Nature, and there is Nature in art. And each season, we celebrate this fact with artist-led workshops where Nature lives, in your beautiful, peaceful Geauga parks.
This quarter presents three such programs, one each month: the Woven Wire Fairy Basket Workshop in January; Nature Drawing for Adult Beginners in February; and Wine Bottle Planter Workshop in March.
Registration is required for all of these programs at Geauga Park District or 440-286-9516.
On Friday, January 27th, join artist instructor Joan Rusek to weave a free-form wire hanging basket from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with dazzling colors, crystals and gemstone chips – creations said to attract fairies and keep them out of mischief! A fee of $36.00 includes all materials and refreshments. Ages 16 and up.
On Wednesday, February 8th, join Naturalist Chris Mentrek for a toasty, indoor drawing session to practice drawing winter scenes from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. All materials will be provided; you supply the creativity!
And on Friday, March 24th, join artist instructor Jess Nestor to create a beautiful succulent planter from a discarded wine bottle while enjoying wine and snacks with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A fee of $36.00 materials includes all materials and refreshments.
All three programs are wheelchair accessible. Please call 440-286-9516 with questions.
