IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES FOR CARDINAL STUDENTS AND PARENTS
The start of the 2016-17 school year is just about three weeks away (Wednesday, August 17) and there are a lot of pre-back to school activities students and parents need to mark on the calendar!
Jordak Elementary/Cardinal Intermediate School
Early August – class lists will be posted on the doors for the 2016-17 school year.
Kindergarten Orientation – Kindergarten orientation will take place on Friday, August 12, 2016. Boys will attend from 9-11 a.m. and girls will attend from 1-3 p.m. Students and parents will participate in a scavenger hunt around the school to acclimate students with important areas of the building like their classroom, restrooms, the gym, and cafeteria. Students will also have a chance to meet their teacher and see their classroom. Parents, please bring your student’s supplies for the upcoming school year and any additional forms that need to be turned in. We can’t wait to meet the Class of 2029!
Open House – On Tuesday, August 16 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. students and parents are invited to come tour the schools their students will attend for the upcoming year and meet their teachers! This is an exciting way to kick off the start of the new school year!
Cardinal Middle School
Locker set-up – On August 10 from 3:30pm-5:30pm, we will be welcoming our students to see the building, find their classrooms and practice opening, decorating or filling lockers with school supplies (supply lists are available online and at the Middlefield library and Wal-Mart). If you pre-ordered a SchoolKidz supply box it will be ready for pick-up at this time or during Open House. Extra copies of schedules will not be available, so please be sure to bring all of your schedule and locker information with you. You can check it out on IC or download the IC mobile app so you can access the information from your phone anytime.
Open House – On August 16 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. CMS will host it’s open house. Staff look forward to seeing students as they walk their schedules, meet their teachers and get excited about the first day of school!
Cardinal High School
College Credit Plus Information Night – Thursday, August 11 from 6:00 -7:00 p.m. in the multipurpose room. Additional information will be posted about this meeting on our website in early August.
Freshman iPad rollout and orientation – Incoming freshmen are invited to come to the high school on Friday, August 12 between 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. to receive their iPad for the 2016-17 school year. Orientation for the class will follow the distribution at 2:00 p.m.
