Several bird species use the farm fields of Geauga County as feeding grounds in
the winter. Blackbrook Audubon will meet at the Walter C. Best Wildlife Preserve, 11620
Ravenna Road, Chardon at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25. Park in the lot directly
beside Rt. 44. Participants will carpool and caravan from here to other sites in search of
Snow Buntings, Horned Larks, Rough-legged Hawks and Northern Harriers. The group
will visit Hayes Road and Swine Creek Reservation in Middlefield and Soltis Road in
Parkman. Bring money for lunch at Mary Yoder’s Amish Kitchen in Middlefield.
