Our middle and high school students had a phenomenal guest speaker visit their buildings on Jan. 20.
Alex Sheen, who created the non-profit group Because I Said I Would, spoke to students about the importance of making and keeping a promise. Sheen also gave out Promise Cards to students and staff to write their promises down on – he says it’s a way to hold people accountable to their commitments.
Students at Cardinal Middle School have already started a “promise board” where they write their promises and then post them as a way to remind themselves about the things they said they would do. For more information about Alex Sheen and his group, visit the website.
