On Saturday, September 6, at Heritage Hills RV Park in Thompson, a fundraiser was held for a young man, Paul, a grounds helper at the RV Park, who had been in a serious accident and is recovering slowly after surgery at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland.
The seasonal campers had organized the benefit, and in response to the overwhelming support shown, the owners shared this thank you on their Heritage Hills Facebook page:
Thank you is not enough to show our appreciation for the support shown at this past weekend’s Benefit Dinner for Paul. It showed what amazing people we have at Heritage Hills and when needed come together to do great work!!!! Proud to say we collected over $12000 for the family to help with medical bills and other needs while getting Paul back on his feet.
Ashley, Heidi, Tiffany, Lesa, Beth, and Sheryl – you rock!!! Would not have been a success without you. Many thanks to others that helped, as well as the vendors and local business who too showed they care!!!!
Paul and his family are very appreciative. Got to see his cute smile today which made my day. Also got to see his new pony which was given as a gift from another Amish family – They sure do rally together in time of need.
Many thanks to the greatest campers in the world!!!!!
These photos from the benefit testify to the successful turnout!
