Calling All Teenage Entrepreneurs

Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder and CEO of Facebook, now a multi-billionaire, began computer programming while in middle school. Juliette Brindak, co-founder and CEO of “Miss O and Friends,” a social site providing an online connection “by girls, for girls,” launched her vision for a supportive community for girls by creating characters based upon positive role models that she drew as a ten-year-old.

Geauga County is home to some budding geniuses like Mark and Juliette who may now be teaching adults how to use computers or offering pet care and lawn care services in their neighborhoods to earn spending money. If you, or someone you know, fit that profile, Geauga Growth Partnership wants to meet these teenage entrepreneurs and hear their stories.

Several times a year, GGP hosts Entrepreneur Success Breakfasts as a means to feature Geauga County entrepreneurs and connect them with the Geauga business community. These casual breakfast meetings include time to meet and greet, then a brief program where business owners share their stories with the help of a moderator. During the Success Breakfast on December 4, at 7:30 a.m. at Kent State University Geauga Campus, GGP would like to feature a small panel of teenage entrepreneurs.

Does this describe you? Can you help us find them? Contact the GGP office at info@geaugagrowth.com or by calling 440-564-1060.

“Entrepreneurs have helped shape the Geauga County Economy for decades and will continue to for many years to come,” says GGP President Tracy Jemison. “It would be great to focus on our young business people at this event to hear their stories and learn their vision for the future.”

Geauga Growth Partnerships hosts Entrepreneur Success Breakfasts, organized by its Entrepreneur Task Force (Christian Klein, Chair), as a way to provide networking and inspiration among Geauga County business leaders. Other upcoming Success Breakfasts are: Entrepreneur Success Breakfast presenting Chem Technologies’ Jim Schill on Friday, September 11, from 7:30 – 9 a.m. at Bistro 608 and Entrepreneur Success Breakfast presenting Kaman’s Art Shoppes on Friday, October 16, from 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. at The West Woods Nature Center.
