Congratulations to the K-4 Elementary Campus (JES & CIS) for receiving several Learnathon Awards through ScootPad!
ScootPad is a web-based program which allows our teachers to differentiate instruction for each child’s level. We have almost 300 Chromebooks at the K-4 Elementary Campus for our pups, so they are able to work on their personal ScootPad page at virtually any time.
“ScootPad allows students to work in Math and English Language Arts (connected to the New Ohio Learning Standards) at their level, and because it is online, they are engaged, and have fun, they don’t even know they’re learning,” says Assistant Principal, Julie Fulton. “In addition, the program provides teachers, parents, and administrators with essential data for student RIMPs [Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plans], as well as for the purpose of driving teacher instruction.”
Every week, use of the ELA and Math programs is monitored by ScootPad (for all schools/districts that use ScootPad in the United States) and they give awards to schools, districts, and individual classrooms for their work/participation! The following awards were given to JES/CIS and the individual teachers listed for the week of 10/5 to 10/11.
Our students work hard and this work is for their specific, individual growth as Huskie Pup Scholars!
