Cardinal High School Principal Jeremy Hunter Submits Resignation

In his two and a half years with the Cardinal Local School District, Mr. Hunter, who is also a Cardinal Alumni, has implemented many new programs at the high school level. The 2015-16 school year saw increased learning opportunities for students with the implementation of block scheduling, enhanced course selections, 1:1 iPad distribution, and the opening of a state-of-the-art distance learning lab. Mr. Hunter was also instrumental in bringing nearly 30 College Credit Plus classes to students at the high school. The Class of 2016 graduated with 255 college credits, most of which were earned at Cardinal High School through classes Cardinal teachers taught. In 2016 advanced communications students returned to school to find a fully functional green room for shooting, editing, and producing video products.

Mr. Hunter was also instrumental in securing a community partnership with Great Lakes Growers to give students the opportunity to see how a hydroponic grower operates and assist with running plant growth experiments for the company. The partnership is vital in providing students with real-world experience.

Hunter also served as the District’s Transportation Supervisor.
