Senior Has Not Missed A Day of School Since 2003
Middlefield, OH – Cardinal High School Senior Haley Adams was recognized at the Senior Awards Banquet on Thursday, May 26, 2016, for having perfect attendance her entire school career. Adams has attended Cardinal schools her entire life and attributes an outstanding immune system to her not missing one day of school since she started Kindergarten in the fall of 2003. “I like school, I like being here. I played a lot of sports too, so if I missed a day, I knew I wouldn’t be able to play in the game and I didn’t want to let the team down,” Adams says. “My family was also really amazing, encouraging me and supporting me, plus I had a competition going with my sister – she only missed one day of school ever, and I wanted to top that! This is a really awesome and I honestly can’t believe I did it!”
Adams has been a leader at school and an active participant in many school activities throughout her tenure at Cardinal. As a senior, she was named Captain of the Volleyball, Flagline, Basketball, and Softball teams, and she was also a member of Student Council and the National Honor Society. She has participated in several band and musical productions.
Adams is also very active in the community, compiling 193 hours of community service during her high Adams will officially graduate from Cardinal High School on Saturday, May 28 and will receive an honors diploma for her 3.5 GPA. She plans to attend Hiram College in the fall where she plans to double major in sports broadcasting and communications and minor in journalism. Adams also hopes to have the opportunity to walk-on to either the basketball or softball team.
