On Friday, December 13, students in the Title 1 reading program were all invited to head to the North Pole on the Polar Express. With a ticket in hand, each student who was dressed in their pajamas was ready to board the train.
As a group, we enjoyed hot chocolate, peppermint bark, candy canes, and cookies while we listened to our conductor read the Polar Express. Students were asked to ring their bells when they heard key words such as “Christmas, Bells, Polar Express, and North Pole.” The Christmas spirit spread quickly through Cardinal Intermediate School.
