JoAnn Mynchenberg, Gurney Elementary’s Art Teacher, introduced the British invasion of the Beatles to her students in an attempt for them to have a better understanding of the timeline and style for both art and fashion.
“One of my goals this year for third graders is for them to have a better understanding of individual and unique styles of art and people,” said Mynchenberg. “I have even found a few ‘groovy’ sites to show the students along with some artifacts of my own. And of course I’ll be dressing up as one of the Beatles, too.”
