Chagrin Falls High School (CFHS) senior Henry Gleeson has been selected as the February Chagrin Valley Rotary Student of the Month. Gleeson was chosen based on his leadership and service qualities he has displayed in the community.
Gleeson has received several awards during his time at CFHS for his academic performance as well as his athletic achievements. He has been a Tiger of the Semester, was on the Honor Roll and the High Honor Roll and received a cross country varsity letter.
His letter was well-deserved as he was a member of both the cross country team and the track and field team. His extracurricular activities included playing in the marching band and the jazz band.
Outside of school, Gleeson took the time to deliver food to the elderly and the homeless through the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging. This nonprofit group supports caregivers and empowers people to age well through research and consumer-responsive services.
In his curriculum, Gleeson took several advanced classes including AP World History, AP Seminar, AP US History, AP Language, AP Government, AP Music Theory, AP Biology, AP Statistics, and AP Psychology.
After graduating from CFHS, Gleeson plans to attend college and major in Architectural Engineering.
