The Chagrin Falls Middle School Speech and Debate team members participated in a tournament on December 19 hosted by Kenston Local Schools. “This was a super competitive tournament, and we had many students trying new categories or events,” said Coach Courtney Polcar. Rory Rhode placed sixth in Extemporaneous Debate and Colin Moran and Carlo Ricco took sixth place in Public Forum Debate. “Our competitors handled some tough topics and bravely spread their wings. I am so proud of their dedication and effort,” said Polcar.
Debate team member Rory Rhode took first place in Extemporaneous Debate at the Brecksville Tournament on January 9. This is her second time placing this year in debate.
