Chardon Area Kiwanis Hear from Chardon Police Chief

Chief Neihus 2

Over 23 people recently gathered for a spouses meeting of the Chardon Kiwanis at the Chardon Heinen’s. The meeting was a fun filled evening with friends and accompanied by a wonderful presentation by Chardon Police Chief, Scott Niehus.

The presentation started out with a discussion of his father’s years of service as Chardon Police Chief from 1975 to 1986 and his early involvement in law enforcement. In addition, he talked about his experience talking over leadership of the Chardon Police Department in July 2014.

“After hearing from the new chief, you can see he has always been trying to serve,” said President Mary Bramstedt of the Kiwanis Club of Chardon. “With such a nice guy in charge of the Chardon Police Department, I know we are in good hands.”

Everyone is encouraged to attend any meeting or activity of the club to lean about our mission to improve our world one child at a time. To find out more about the club or upcoming events, please visit www.kiwanisclubofchardon.org or 440-537-7316.
