Chardon Board of Education Hires New Treasurer

Chardon Board of Education is pleased to announce that Ms. Deb Armbruster has been hired as treasurer for the Chardon Local Schools. Armbruster, a resident of Chardon, has extensive experience with several school districts and is currently serving as treasurer in Crestwood Local Schools. She worked for several years in the Chardon treasurer’s office, and is very happy to come “home.” Following her appointment, Armbruster stated, ”I am looking forward to the opportunity of serving Chardon Local Schools, the Board, the staff, and the community in my home town.”

The treasurer is an integral part of the school’s leadership team, with responsibility for all financial aspects of running the district. Without a solid financial picture, the school system cannot do the critical day to day and long-range planning that is crucial to creating the best opportunities for students. The current treasurer, Mrs. Ashley Brudno has taken a position as treasurer of Chagrin Falls School District. Board President Madelon Horvath speaks for the entire board, “Mrs. Brudno has done a terrific job as treasurer for the last five years and we wish her all the best in her new position.”

Mrs. Horvath says the Board is looking forward to working with Ms. Armbruster. “It’s exciting to have Ms. Armbruster back on our team! We believe she will be a great asset to Chardon Local Schools.”
