Chardon BrewFest and PuttFest

The Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce and Chardon Tomorrow are excited to announce a joint venture to take place on Saturday, September 15, 2012. The groups will host two events simultaneously in Chardon to promote local businesses and encourage tourism in the City of Chardon.

Chardon Brewfest will take place from noon until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15 on the grounds of the Eltech Building (100 Seventh Ave.) on the southeast corner of Center Street and Seventh Avenue. The event will feature samples from up to twenty local microbrewers including Black Box, Brew Kettle, Cellar Rats, Chardon BrewWorks, Cornerstone, Fat Heads, Great Lakes Brewing Co., Indigo Imp Brewery Ltd., Lager Heads, Market Garden Brewery, Ohio Brewing Co., Rust Belt Brewing Co., Thirsty Dog, and Willoughby Brewing Co.  Food will be available from Chardon area restaurants including Cleats, Morgans, Jersey Mike’s Subs and Chardon BrewWorks. Live music will be on stage throughout the event. Online registration is $20 and is accepted through Friday, September 14. After the deadline, the cost increases to $25. The cost includes a commemorative mug. 

The event will also include a “Discover Chardon” tent where guests can learn more about the area and enjoy free coffee, compliments of Beans Coffee House.

Mini Golf at Chip's Clubhouse

Chardon PuttFest miniature golf outing will take place from noon until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15 at Chip’s Clubhouse (214 5th Avenue) just around the corner from Brewfest. The event will feature contests, raffles, prizes, and games for all ages. An awards presentation recognizing the adult and junior winners (and losers) follows the outing. Registration is $8 per person and includes lunch provided by Zeppe’s Pizzeria of Chardon.
