Chardon High School juniors, who were selected to mentor incoming freshman next school year (Freshmen Mentoring Program), recently met as a group to brainstorm ideas and discuss strategies.
FMP matches senior students with freshmen, who work together during a 22- minute structured class period several times a week throughout the year.
The goals of the program are for freshmen to experience academic success and social adjustment to high school through team-building and educational games, incentive rewards, and character education experiences.
