At a recent Chardon Kiwanis leadership meeting, the leadership team for the 2019-2020 term was elected, new members were inducted, and planning took place for next year.
The leadership team includes Jim Rayl serving as President; Heather Penrod serving as Secretary, Jim Kniskern Treasurer and; Carl Farren, Jim Madea, Joe Miller, Ken Kirchner, and Bob Yates severing as Directors. In addition, Jim Kniskern and Heather Penrod were inducted as new members. The club is excited to welcome the new leadership team and new members who will lead the club forward in our important mission of helping young people in the Chardon area.
The club is looking forward to the impending Maple season, which will officially kick off with Tappin’ Sunday on March 3rd at 1:00 p.m. on the Historic Chardon Square. The Kiwanis will once again be selling everyone’s favorite Kiwanis Maple Cotton Candy at the Heritage House starting with Tappin’ Sunday and going through the Maple Festival. All monies raised will support the Kiwanis Scholarship Fund and other projects sponsored by the Chardon Area Kiwanis.
“Chardon Kiwanians look forward to spring and the Maple Season in Chardon and Geauga County. We will be in the Heritage House each Sunday beginning on Tappin Sunday through the Maple Festival weekend of April 23 – 26,” said Jim Rayl, President of the Chardon Area Kiwanis.
