The need for healthy and nutritious meals for the less fortunate was discussed at recent meetings of the Chardon Kiwanis.
To help meet the local need, the club will be hosting a food drive on June 19.
The Chardon Kiwanis Club will be accepting donation during the Concert in the Park on Chardon Square, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Donations can be brought to the donation table and may include non-perishable food items, toiletries and cash. All donations will be given to the food pantry at the Pilgrim Christian Church.
“The goal of Kiwanis is to change the world, one child and community at a time,” says Baron Miller, project leader for the Chardon Kiwanis Club. “Helping to collect food for those in need in our county goes directly towards that mission.”
People are encouraged to come out to enjoy a wonderful performance by Abbey Rodeo and lend a helping hand to those in need. For more information on the Chardon Kiwanis Club, please visit www.kiwanisclubofchardon.org.
