If your child turns five years old prior to August 1, he/she is eligible to attend Chardon Kindergarten this fall.
If you anticipate your child will be attending kindergarten, we ask that you schedule an appointment with the elementary school your child will be attending. If you are unsure of which elementary school your child will be attending, please call our Transportation Dept. at 440-285-4069.
This appointment will take approximately twenty minutes. You must bring your child’s birth certificate (original), one proof of residency (e.g. deed, completed rental / purchase agreement, tax statement – property tax, building permit, completion of Residency Affidavit Form, or completion of Residency Verification Form), immunization records and any legal documents pertaining to family situations (i.e., guardianship, custody) to your registration.
It is permissible, but not necessary, for you to bring your child to registration. To schedule your registration appointment, call the school office beginning February 3, 2016. The registration dates follow. Times vary by school.
