Hambden PTO Mothers Day Plant Sale
Support Hambden School and celebrate Mom (or grandmas, aunts, cousins) in the process! PTO members will be selling beautiful bedding plants and hanging baskets at Hambden Township Park on Friday, May 6th from 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM and Saturday, May 7th from 9:00 Am – 2:00 PM.
Chardon Kick-It! May 13th
Chardon’s AC4P team is hosting its second annual kickball tournament to raise money for Pediatric cancer. The Kick-It! event will be held at Chardon High School Memorial Field, 151 Chardon Avenue, on May 13th, 2016 from 4:00 -8:00 PM. Elementary, middle and high school students are encouraged to sign up to join a team. The game is open to the community so come on out and support your Hilltoppers while raising money for pediatric cancer. Other entertainment will be included during the event such as food, a DJ, 50/50 Raffle, face painting, corn hole, and more! Donations are greatly appreciated! Middlefield Historical Society Elementary Student Art Show
Don’t miss the great art work of area elementary students at the Middlefield Historical Society Student Art Show on two consecutive upcoming weekends; Sat/Sun May 7 & 8 and Sat/Sun May 14 & 15 from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. This judged show features the creative talents of elementary students in Geauga County- including all Chardon elementary schools. Be sure to take a family drive and view his special art exhibit!

CMS Students Teach
Middle School Science teacher, Brent Hilston recently turned the tables in his class and had select students take over and teach the class about energy and natural resources.
ODOT Simulator
Under the watchful eye of School Resource Officer Mike Shaw, Chardon High School students experiment with a variety of hazardous road conditions using ODOT’s driving simulator during Safe Driving Week.
5th Grade Band
It was a big night for Chardon’s 5th-grade band members when Band Director Melissa Lichtler brought together band students from the district’s four elementary schools to make a full ensemble. The students performed at the High School Spring Band Concert held April 27th.
PA Caterpillers
Kindergarten students in Jennifer Maheu’s class are learning to be good scientists by observing the changes of their caterpillars and ladybug larvae.
