Chardon Tomorrow Sponsors Five-Mile Race October 21 at Maple Highlands Trail

runnersThe second annual Chardon Tomorrow 5 Mile Run will be held on Sunday, October 21, at the Maple Highlands Trail in the Geauga Parks District.

The race, which begins at 9:00 a.m., is run entirely on the fast, flat, asphalt trail. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the male and female divisions with additional awards for first place in each age group. The runner who lives furthest from Chardon will receive a half gallon of maple syrup.

Entrance fee is $15 for advance registration and $20 on day of race. Pre-registration is available online through October 16. Runners can also pre-register and pick up their packets on Saturday, October 20, at Achilles Running Shop in Mentor.

Participants can register on race day from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the trail entrance on Chardon Windsor Road, just three-fourths of a mile east of the Chardon Square.

All proceeds benefit Chardon Tomorrow, a non-profit organization formed to preserve and enhance the character of Chardon.
