CLSD Recognition Dinner 2016

The Chardon Board of Education, together with the Chardon Education Association (CEA), hosted the district’s Annual Recognition Dinner on Monday, May 2nd at Legend Lake Golf Club. It was a special evening of fellowship and inspiration as we honored outstanding volunteer/school supporters and recognized teachers and administrators who are celebrating milestone years in their careers. There were no retiring educators to recognize this year, but Hambden teacher, Coleen Williams, who is celebrating 35 years of teaching, received a well-earned standing ovation. Receiving the Superintendent Award, for outstanding service to the district, were long-time school supporters, Emily and Jim Pastor. The Chardon Education Association’s Friend of Education Award went to the Chardon Rotary Club. Accepting the Award on behalf of Chardon Rotary were Rotary President Vicki Dailey and President-Elect Ron Croucher.

Other educators who were recognized for reaching milestones in their careers included:

Five Years: Amanda Bondi, Michaelene Gillette, Tara Kaiser, Brandon Lichtinger, Shannon Monsman, Donna Picone, Jeremy Rothstein, Katie Smith and Alegra Waseleski

Ten Years: Wendy Bartolovich, Michelle Burress, Mitch Hewitt, MaryElizabeth Peppers, Katie Tyson and Meghan Wozniak

Fifteen Years: Eric Bartley, Tracey Best, Maggie Cook, Maria Lysiak, Holly Mihalek, Eveline Petroff, Dominic Salatino, Deborah Steytler and Sharon Zdesar

Twenty Years: Tracey Britt, Jacqueline Brown, Christine Ceraolo, Cher Culliton, Steven Kofol, Julie Kolcum, Jennifer Kreuz, Angela Moore and Sierra Polsinelli

Twenty-Five Years: Kim Butala, Joseph Ricci, Rita Richardson, Tamara Segulin and Suzanne Stewart.

At the Chardon Schools’ Annual Recognition Dinner Chardon, Chardon Education Association (CEA) president Tammy Segulin presented the CEA Friend of Education Award to the Chardon Rotary Club. Accepting the award on behalf of the club were President Vicki Dailey and President-Elect Ron Croucher.

In addition, superintendent Mike Halon presented the 2016 Superintendent Award for exemplary volunteerism to long-time school supporters, Emily and Jim Pastor.
