All-ages scavenger hunt adds adventure to Something’s Afoot exhibit
Maybe you’ve already seen Something’s Afoot: Nature Just Can’t Stay Put, the ongoing exhibit at The West Woods Nature Center. Maybe you’ve even seen it multiple times, and you’re getting your exhibit passport stamped to earn free prizes.
Now here’s a way to add some adventure to your next visit!
What: Something’s Afoot: On the Move Adventure
When: Saturday, February 22 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: The West Woods Nature Center
9465 Kinsman Road (Route 87), Russell Township
Explorers ages 2 to 102 can drop in any time during program hours to search the nature center for clues about how plants and animals move.
For instance: “It’s fun to try to slither around / Like a snake on the ground / It moves through the rocks as easy as can be / How many wooden snakes do you see?”
Answer correctly at least seven times and you will be rewarded with a nature activity book, an animal guide, or another fun thing!
Most clues will be indoors, but there will also be an option to head outdoors to explore and find more. Outdoor wheelchair/stroller accessibility will be dependent on snow, but the nature center is fully accessible.
Registration is not required. Call 440-286-9516 with questions.
Geauga Park District is online, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
