Students and staff at Cardinal Middle and High Schools have donated $700 to the American Cancer Society after participating in the organization’s Hoops for Hope fundraiser!
The event was a ‘Best of 10’ foul shot competition held during lunch hours at school and students and staff paid a $10 or $20 donation to participate, with all money going to the ACS. Winners from each school bracket then competed in the regional finals at CMS on Dec. 6.
Sixth grader Conner C. and ninth grader Ashley G. both came in second place in the regional competition. 12th grader Emily K. finished first in her bracket in the regional competition and will now go on to compete in the Finals at Quicken Loans Arena on Feb. 6.
