A group of Chardon Middle School teachers, on the hunt for unique learning experiences, recently visited Chair Factory Falls, part of Lake Metroparks Greenway Corridor.

Becky Parkin, Outdoor Education Manager for Lake Metroparks, hosted and guided the group as they hiked and discussed curricular connections between mathematics, history, science, language arts and the once active furniture factory site.

The group seeks to develop opportunities for outdoor education experiences for students at CMS. The teachers included (from left to right) Dwight Goss, Jeremy Farrow, Brad McGovern, Dan
Heintz, Beverly Mysyk, Kate Isham and Barb Rosengard.
