Have you ever been sitting in a chair with a cup of coffee or tea, enjoying the view of your bird feeder, but couldn’t quite identify a feathered visitor? Or thought, “How can I get more birds to come?” Or wished you could attend a guided birding program but don’t have the mobility to take a hike?
Well, here’s a chance to get your questions answered, enjoy time with a knowledgeable naturalist, and still enjoy that warm beverage indoors!
Register to join Naturalist Renell Roebuck for Coffee with the Birds – an “insiders” look at birdwatching at the extra-large windows of The West Woods Nature Center. Available sessions are Sunday, February 2, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.; and Monday, February 10, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 2 to 3 p.m.
Or, on Wednesday, Monday, March 26, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., join Naturalist “Astro-Nat” Chris Mentrek for Coffee with the Birds / Café Con Las Aves, where we’ll both birdwatch and brush up on our Spanish!
Both tea and coffee are served at this program. For a more personalized experience, you may even feel free to bring your own mug, as well as any bird-feeding questions you might have. Please sign up for just one session when you register at www.geaugaparkdistrict.org by clicking on Programs & Events, then the date on the calendar you’re hoping to attend.
