A new generation of “Disney kids” is here. They are the children of the bad guys from the classic movies. In present day Auradon, Ben, the benevolent teenage son of King Adam and Queen Belle, offers a chance of redemption for the troublemaking offspring of Disney’s classic villians: Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, the Evil Queen and Jafar.
Descendants has a teen cast with ages up to 19, seasoned actors as well as a few new to the stage. The excitement and talent is extreme as they move to a real stage for the first time in almost two years. Director Angela Miloro-Hansen and her staff are excited as well.
Descendants can be seen at Andrews Osborne Academy, 38588 Mentor Ave. in Willoughby, August 13-22. Fridays and Saturday performances are at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2pm. Tickets are $12 students, $15 adults and can be purchased online at www.curtain440.com/Tickets or at the door. Covid rules at Andrews Osborne require those who are unvaccinated to wear a mask. The theater is very large and it is easy for seating to be distanced for your groups.
Curtain 440 is a local independent theater company, established in February 2019 and owned by Angela Miloro-Hansen, Chardon resident.
