December G.E.L. Event – Entrepreneur Success Breakfast Featuring the Founders of Fairmount Santrol

The company began in 1978 when Mr. William Conway purchased Walter C. Best, Inc., a small silica sand producer located in Chardon, and named it Best Sand. These small beginnings, and the relation that developed between Mr. Conway and Mr. Chuck Fowler, led to the growth and development of Fairmount Santrol as an innovative industry leader capable of supplying many of the world’s biggest industries.
