Nature and art are inextricably connected, and Geauga Park District strives to nurture that connection in the eyes of children and adults alike.
To this effect, Naturalist Renell Roebuck has embraced the opportunity to offer walk-up Nature crafts during several weekdays this summer, all from 1 to 3 p.m. at The West Woods’ Turkey Ridge Shelter – no registration required!
Mark your calendars to come out to the park on July 18 to create a feather out of a pressed leaf, August 3 to turn pine cones into art, and August 15 to create a project yet to be determined (watch the website for updates). All sessions will also be supplemented with fun Nature facts specially linked to the craft.
Crafting will be available all two hours while supplies last, and fully wheelchair/stroller accessible. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Find The West Woods at 9465 Kinsman Road (Route 87) in Russell Township.
